Most violations can be paid on or before the assigned court date. The cost of a ticket is $140.75 for each violation that is listed on the ticket if paid on or before the assigned court date.
Payment of the ticket is the same as a guilty plea and conviction notification is sent to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. If the citation is paid late other fees will be added and you must contact our office in order to determine the price of the ticket.
The cost of Safety Belt violations are $30 for the first violation and $55 for all subsequent violations if paid on or before the assigned court date.
Prohibited use of wireless telecommunications devices or stand-alone electronic devices.
Prohibited use of these types of devices is now considered to be a moving violation, and if convicted, it will place points on your driving record. If you are eligible, you may attend the CPD Traffic Safety Course in order to prevent the points from being place on your driver’s license. The current cost to attend for this particular charge is $85.00.
CPD Traffic Safety Course
You may qualify to attend the Traffic Safety Course that is offered by the Clarksville Police Department. You must contact the court clerk’s office in order to determine whether or not you are eligible to take the course. The cost of the course for most violations is $150.00. The traffic school that is offered by the Clarksville Police Department is the only traffic school that is approved by the Clarksville Municipal Court. The traffic school is only held online, but is a live 4 hour class.
